Day 18 ...
Scarlett continues to remain stable and her O2 needs are still CPAP on PEEP7. Cute photoshoot today!
Day 19 ...
Today was a BIG day, Derek held Scarlett for the 1st time!!!
Today we also decorated Scarlett's little area in the nursery, and she was wearing another cute outfit.
No real updates for Scarlett, she continues to remain stable and her O2 needs are between 25 - 38%.
Today during kangaroo care she looked bigger and is showing signs of some rolls!
Day 21 ...
Scarlett did great last night and her O2 needs were 24 - 29% which was an improvement for her... Fingers crossed she continues to get down to 21% so we can wean her PEEP (pressure). Yesterday we also toured Southdale's NICU and if Scarlett's O2 needs go down and she is
recommended for transfer we will most likely transfer her as the other hospital will be better suited for breastfeeding as it's close to my work and has boarding capabilities (the UofMN has
boarding too, but she wouldn't get to that floor till she was much closer to going home).
